Resumen
La ley 42, de 7 de agosto de 2012, General de pensión alimenticia, promulgada en la República de Panamá ha supuesto una importante modificación del ordenamiento vigente, al abordar en una única norma cuestiones tanto sustantivas cuanto procesales en materia de alimentos. Analizaremos esta novedosa regulación así como las importantes modificaciones que incluye. En este punto, hemos de decir que será el tiempo el que permita valorar en su justa medida si esta ley cumple una de sus finalidades, esto es, lograr el cumplimiento del deber de alimentos por parte de los alimentantes.
Abstract
Law number 42, August 7th, 2012, General de Pensión Alimenticia regulates child maintenance or support in the Republic of Panama. This Law introduces some legislative changes by regulating in a unique norm substantive and procedural matters concerning this subject. We analyze this Law and the most important changes that it includes, and only time will tell if this Law has accomplished one of its principal aims, that is, to reach a larger number of compliance of the duty of child support or child maintenance by the obligors to the obligees.
