Resumen
Este trabajo se ocupa de la información territorial como parte de la información medioambiental, y, a partir de la comparación entre alguna de las instituciones proveedoras de información espacial en Italia y en España -fundamentalmente, el Catastro y el Registro de la Propiedad-, intenta exponer el papel que la Directiva INSPIRE puede jugar en dichos países, centrándose en algunas de las dificultades que se han detectado en el intento de crear una infraestructura de información espacial en la UE. Los principales obstáculos se refieren a la falta de armonización en lo relativo a la disponibilidad, calidad, organización, accesibilidad y puesta en común de tales datos en cada país.
Abstract
This paper deals with spatial data as part of environmental information. It compares some of the main spatial data providers in Italy and Spain -basically, the Cadastre and the Land Registry- and it tries to explain the role that INSPIRE Directive could play in these countries, stressing the problems that have been encountered in the way to create a common information basin in the EU. The most important difficulties are related to the lack of harmonization regarding the availability, quality, organization, accessibility and sharing of spatial information within each country.
