Abstract

The point of this short paper on reserved portions is to make clear that the testator is free to assign the assets contained in the reserved portion by acts inter vivos and mortis causa. Thus, an inheritor who has already received his reserved portion in full has no right to claim his reserved portion afterwards. There is an analysis of the possibility of increasing the inheritance of a grandchild when a child entitled to a reserved portion is still alive.
