Abstract

Relationship stability is an essential requirement for domestic partnerships. The foundation of a domestic partnership is the partners' intention and natural inclination to remain together permanently. The partners must expressly accord a system for stating their unequivocal wish to share all or some of their assets during their union. If there is no express accord or conclusive facts pointing to such an accord, the partners cannot take action for the division of their jointly-owned assets, because no joint ownership of assets has been created.
