Economic analysis of law (EDA) has penetrated all branches of law, including the civil law branch, which is the quintessential exponent of the private law area and focuses mainly on the maximisation of wealth rather than its redistribution; a circumstance that generates imbalances in society and market failures, which suggests a reconsideration of all the legal institutions that make up the "market infrastructure" for the purpose of presenting a study from an economic perspective.
Hence the vision of civil law that is proposed here from the AED through its various sections (real rights, obligations and contracts, damages law, family law and inheritance law).
