Abstract
The DirectorateGeneral of Registries and Notarial Affairs has issued a series of decisions dealing with issues involving the problem of the distribution of legal competences to shareholders' meetings in the wake of the reform of section 160 of the Spanish Corporation Act. In these cases it is also necessary to address the proper handling of the wellknown rule of protection for third parties acting in good faith, a point which remains far from clear. Because of the lack of clarity, there are varying opinions on the subject.
